hi hello welcome!

hi hello welcome!

Nice of you to stop by ッ

Elise Tyson (she/her) is a writer & filmmaker living in London.

Image: Elise, a white girl with blonde & green hair, dressed in green & khaki, stands against a wall of street art which is mainly green...

Elise is gonna be honest with you.

She’s at a crossroads.

After gaining a Bachelor of Film & Television in 2017 in Naarm (Melbourne), she’s spent the last six years working in film and television production across both Australia & the UK (see her credits here).

As someone whose brain runs a million miles an hour, Elise enjoys the problem solving, spontaneity and frenetic pace of production. Each day is like a game of Tetris, which she’s pretty good at.

There’s one problem she can’t seem to solve, though.

She’s desperate to craft stories. Build worlds. Connect humans. Use her mind creatively as well as logically.

Elise knows how to write. Her first published article, about the effect of Hollywood strikes on UK crew, appeared in the Guardian UK in 2023. She’s since written articles, prose and poetry for several publishers.

Her short script St Bernie was nominated as a finalist for both Oaxaca FilmFest & Moondance International Film Festival. She directed it too, and won Best National Film at the Canberra Short Film Festival & an Accolade Award of Excellence for Women Filmmakers in 2018.

Elise’s favourite stories breathe authenticity, challenge social perceptions & celebrate the wonderfully messy human condition. And where better to uncover them than London’s rich melting pot?

She’s still new here, though, and her size 4 foot is struggling to edge its way in the door. Can you help her?

Oh, yeah. One last thing.

Her favourite colour, in case you can’t already tell, is green.

writing.

film.

Give your fingers a rest.

Let me write it for you.
